Ho Ho Ho How are you friends? The sleigh routes went live this week, and within minutes my phone lit up with neighbors mapping out where to catch Santa. That’s the kind of problem-solving I appreciate — families coordinating curbside meetups like they’re launching a satellite. December’s moving fast, and this week packed in real…

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving filled with plenty of good food, great friends and family, and an extra helping of gratitude. Three big community events hit this week, and Tuesday’s Council agenda tackles everything from playground design to how we’ll move forward with new fire and police facilities. If you’re…

This Thanksgiving week, I’m grateful for you, the neighbors who show up to community meetings, send thoughtful emails, and care deeply about what happens in District 1. Your engagement makes me a better representative. It’s that simple. Thursday brings family tables and gratitude lists, but this week also saw something historic happen at Redondo Union…

Hello friends, Sometimes the best ideas come from watching what works elsewhere. Mayor Mark Waronek and City Manager Andrew Vialpando…

Hi friends, What a weekend! Halloween packed the Village. I saw lots of top-tier costumes, and by Sunday morning, everything was spotless and spooky-free thanks to crews and volunteers. Between a quick brunch, the farmers market, and a handful of sidewalk chats, I heard a lot about Avenue H and the waterfront plan. Here’s what’s…

Hi friends, As you know, I’m an engineer-turned-councilmember who likes turning city talk into updates you can actually use. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with thoughtful feedback over the past few weeks. Your input has been invaluable in ensuring neighborhood safety remains our top priority. Hi neighbors — Brad here. If you know me, you know I like things that work, systems that run smoothly and plans that have purpose. Between presenting the City’s proclamation for Domestic Violence Awareness Month and preparing for Tuesday’s Council meeting, this week reminded me how much small policy adjustments can create real community impact….

Hi Neighbors — Thanks to everyone who wrote, stopped me at the market, or came to Council this week. I spent much of last week at the League of California Cities conference, comparing notes with nearby cities on practical fixes we can bring home — from parking and public safety to economic development and short-term…

Dear Neighbors, From local safety initiatives to big-picture regional planning, this week shows how every decision we make—large or small—shapes the rhythm of daily life here in Redondo Beach. Whether we’re refining parking policies, learning from our Coastal Commission partners, or showing up for one another at community events, progress is built one thoughtful conversation…
