| It’s been a busy month so I’m sending you a second newsletter. Budget season is upon us for the city, and we will be holding a number of council meetings to discuss. I’ve got some links and dates for you: – The 2025-26 Proposed Annual Budget is available for review. – The proposed five year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is available for review. – Details and historical budgets are available for those of you who love finance. The City Council will consider the Proposed Budget on the following dates: – June 3, 2025: Public Hearing – Operating Budget review and discussion – June 10, 2025: Public Hearing – CIP review and discussion – June 17, 2025: 2025-26 Budget & 2025-30 CIP Adoption Please let me know your thoughts, questions, and priorities for the Budget and CIP proposals! |

| Here are some highlights from recent city council meetings: – Authorized money for 2.5-acre public park under the SCE ROW at Herondo and PCH. – Chose not to use Beach Cities Transit vehicles, bus stops, and benches for advertising revenue. – Appointed council member committee and delegate responsibilities for the next year. I will be representing you on the Education subcommittee, West Basin Water Association, Clean Power Alliance Board of Directors, and will be alternate to the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). – Approved an agreement with LBP Consulting, LLC (LeBasse) to serve as the City’s Public Art Consultant for the ARTesia Public Art Project. |
